Werewolf Statue Paint-up by pyro-helfier Werewolf Statue Paint-up by pyro-helfier
A few months ago, my fiance and I bought an unpainted werewolf statuette from :iconmeadowknight:.  He wanted a gray werewolf with blue eyes, and this is what it looked like when I was finished painting it. The photos really don't do justice to some of the subtle shading and tones.

*EDIT*  WANT ONE OF YOUR OWN?  :iconmeadowknight: is selling them for $300 for a custom paint job, or $175 for a blank.  For anyone who has contemplated buying anything form ~Meadowknight  don't hesitate!  It was a beautifully detailed and solid sculpt.  I would definitely buy from her again.

I swear I've seen some of these before, might have been on one of my "click on every -more like this- section" clicking sprees, and it is beyond me why I didn't fav it already, might have removed it on accident when I cleaned up my favorites not too long ago. But if I did or didn't it's going on there now either way lol

Yeah, I use to be trigger happy on the "+FAV!" button, then I kind of toned it down and realized what I really like, and kind of "so-so" like. It was when I first made my account on this site and saw like a billion werewolf pictures. My little brain was on fantasy overload and made my fingers go click-happy. I've since learned to refine my preferences and weed out specifics, thus lowering my favorite count from like 200-300 down to I think is now, 20-40ish? Something like that lol

That's why I had to break my faves down into folders.  I have been thinking I need to go through my wolves etc- and break it down too into werewolves/wolves/ dogs  but it'll take forever so I have been putting it off.

Well.. with the amount of favorites you have, that would take quite a whileeeeeee... lol I thought I was bad with like 300, HA. Not even close xD

Yeah, I'm a fave hoarder lol.  But I have been on this site for like 7 years or something so I find a LOT of awesome art.

*puffs chest* 7 years... I got 8 months, Eight-whole-months. Try me. 8 > 7 if you look at only numerically. But yes, if I searched hard enough I'm I would run across a lot more picture I'd love.

Yus!  I have seen this one before and thought about it.  Her werewolf hanging onto the moon necklaces are neat too.  That price is just about right for a sculpt of that kind and quality.  Good paint up!  Lotta dry brushie?  Do you just use gloss acrylic sealer on the eyes or something else?  From the closeup, they looks really "wet" and nice.

Yeah it was a really nice, solid piece.  I was really happy with it when it arrived.  Oh yes, I like her pendants too, and she just recently made a dragon sculpt that looks cool too.  Yeah, I did a ton of dry brushing to bring out the fur.  I used a couple coats of Sculpy glossy glaze on the eyes, and put some on the nostrils, teeth and nails as well.  It's really good for small stuff like that, and it actually has a slightly blue tint until it dries so it's easy to tell if it's still wet or not.

I did not sculpt it, I only did the paint job.  The sculpture is from :iconmeadowknight: as it says in the description.

You're welcome! You did a great job :), you really did my sculpt justice, and I'm glad it was fun for you! Probably a little more rewarding doing it yourself too :). These guys are not easy to paint!

Hey, that's what the werewolf in my next story would look like. Instead I inspired the idea of what it looks like from the worgen from WoW. The story is not Wow related what's so ever.

Cool :)  I really like the male worgen design in WoW, but I wish the females had some better options.

The females originally did look better. I don't know what reason they got down graded like that. Either way, Worgen are :badassplz: rewamp.

Yeah I saw that.  They were originally going to have awesome mounts too before they just got the whole fast run deal.  They are badass indeed.  They are the whole reason I switched from Horde to Alliance, lol.

I never played as goblin either. I switched from all Horde (my main was undead lock) to Alliance for worgens when they came out.  And then, I quit playing shortly after MoP came out and I got bored or dailies dailies dailies. I never even fully leveled my Panda Monk.

I never got to MoP because having to pay 15$ dollars a month; yeah, had to stop paying. Can't even remember the last tie I played.

Yeah I would stop for a month or 2 then get sucked back int, play for awhile, quit again.. never ending cycle lol.  Even now I have moments where I feel like starting back up again I just have too much else on my plate and I know I'd end up not getting any artwork done if I started playing again.

I also thought about to buy one on etsy but its simple way to expensive, even the unpainted ones.

I understand, I had that problem at first too.  But it is really nicely done and I am both a model and werewolf collector.  Also, I have sculpted and casted (small things) and for the amount of work involved and how expensive resin is, it was totally worth how much I paid for it. She had them a little cheaper here than she did on Etsy at the time.
